As an educator and life-long learner, I want to teach you skills related to fitness and nutrition that you will be able to use throughout your lifetime. We will work together to set personalized, attainable goals and develop an action plan that works with your schedule and lifestyle to achieve results. I work with people of all ages and skill-levels and create custom programs based on the tools and resources you have access to, your comfort level, and your needs. Whether you want to run your first mile or half marathon, conquer your first pull-up, establish a routine, decrease body fat, increase muscle, etc., we will develop a program specifically for you!
I have been passionate about fitness and nutrition for over ten years. After purchasing a Career Consulting company, Career Advantage, I decided to additionally pursue this passion as a career! Over the years I have lifted free weights, joined a boxing gym, and been an avid runner completing six half marathons and numerous 10ks and 5ks. In recent years, I have really shifted my focus to weight training. I workout in my garage gym primarily made up of used equipment I purchased online or that was handmade by my husband. I LOVE my garage gym, and the only thing I'd change about it is I wish it had air conditioning during the hot summer days! If you would have told me fifteen years ago that I would someday run multiple half marathons and be able to do weighted pull-ups, I would have laughed at the thought. It's amazing what you can do with the right mindset, hard work, and perseverance! Everyone's goals are different, and I want to help you reach yours.
My additional background is in education and career coaching, so I am goal-oriented and want to help my clients by creating programs that will challenge and motivate them. I will serve as the support you need along the way, whatever that may look like for you!
